What’s Going On On The Island
This Saturday marks one of the most festive days of the year on the island with the Ship Bottom Christmas Parade on December 6th, alongside workshops, crafts, and holiday shopping. Local spots like The Port Hole, The Marlin, and Buckalew’s will be buzzing afterward — and Burger 25 is handing out free hot chocolate along the route.

The island also has a great new coffee addition: Andy’s at Barnegat Light. We finally checked it out this weekend — it’s a fantastic spot for a slow morning or remote work session, with views of the inlet and Old Barney. They serve coffee, tea, pastries, and soups at fair prices. Peaceful, scenic, and a perfect off-season hideaway.

What’s Going On In Real Estate
This past week, we saw a wave of 19 expired listings — typical for the start of winter. Only 6 new properties came on, bringing us down to just 85 active listings, some of the lowest seasonal inventory numbers on record.
Only one home went under contract — mostly due to limited options and the holiday slowdown. Serious buyer demand is still there.
In a market this tight, off-market inventory becomes a huge advantage. We currently have several coming-soon and new-construction opportunities finishing before summer.
