August is like summers grand finale. The days are drenched in sunlight, the ocean sparkles like it knows its time to shine, and the salty air carries a mix of sunscreen and pure vacation happiness. 🌊 Adventure of the Week: 3rd Annual Littleneck Jam
If you’ve got a young wave-rider in the family—or just love watching future surf stars in action—mark your calendar for one of the most heartwarming and high-energy events of the summer: the 3rd Annual Littleneck Jam!
Born from the popularity of Jetty’s Coquina and Clam Jams, this special surf contest is all about encouraging the next generation of surfers while keeping things lighthearted and fun. Think less pressure, more high-fives, and an entire morning dedicated to helping kids build confidence in the water.
This event is designed specifically for surfers 12 and under—whether they’re just starting to catch waves or already practicing their cutbacks. Parents and local surf instructors will be right there in the water offering guidance, tips, and encouragement. The focus? Good vibes, skill-building, and pure beachside joy.

Why: To inspire and foster surf skills in the next generation of community leaders.

🏄 How It Works
• 80 surfers will be split into teams of 8.
• Each team will compete against another team in two 20-minute heats.
• Judging is based on:
• Wave-catching ability
• Style
• Most importantly—who’s having the most fun!
In addition to the surf action, instructors will offer one-on-one tips to make contestants more confident and safe in the water. And because no beach day is complete without a little extra fun, there will be beach games to keep the good vibes rolling.

📜 Rules & Safety
• Open to surfers 12 and under (beginner to intermediate level).
• Parental help in the water is allowed.
• All participants must be comfortable in the ocean and able to swim if separated from their board or parent.
• Jetty Rock Foundation and Jetty will determine the most suitable event for each contestant—safety always comes first.

Hello! I’m a proud wife and mother of four living on the beautiful seaside stretch of Long Beach Island, NJ—where the days are full of sand (a lot of it!), saltwater, and just enough chaos to keep life interesting.
My life is a blend of beach days, dance recitals, grocery runs and baseball games. I’m passionate about making memories with my crew, mornings by the ocean, Sunday dinners (that are normally a little loud), enjoying coastal sunsets, planning adventures, solo target runs, strong coffee and I find joy in the beautiful, messy moments of motherhood.
