Welcome back to another summer on Long Beach Island!
There’s something special about the final week of summer on Long Beach Island. The days are still long and sun-drenched, but the air starts to carry that gentle hint of September. The beaches are just a little quieter, the sunsets somehow feel more golden, and every ice cream cone or salty dip in the ocean seems to hold a bit more meaning—because we all know the season is winding down.
This is the week when families squeeze in one more game of mini golf, one more round of beach tag, or one more evening stroll along the bay. It’s when you pick up that extra t-shirt from your favorite surf shop, order the seafood special you’ve been eyeing all summer, and promise yourself you’ll be back next year to do it all again.
On LBI, summer never truly ends—it just shifts into a slower rhythm. The island transforms into a calmer version of itself, but for now, we get to hold onto the last, best week of sunshine, sand, and simple seaside joy.

My life is a blend of beach days, dance recitals, grocery runs and baseball games.
