Long Beach Island Shopping Guide

Long Beach Island holds a steadfast place in many-a-vacationer’s-heart. Beloved for its quiet beaches, wholesome residential streets and charming assortment of mom and pop shops, the 18 mile barrier island that many call home (and some call ‘second home’) is a premier Jersey Shore destination for more than one reason.

One of our favorite reasons to love LBI? Its multitude of shopping options.

Before you embark on your next spree, take a look at our guide below that lists some of our favorite stops across Long Beach Island.

Sink R Swim

No LBI shopping guide would be complete without a bit of gushing over Sink R Swim – a staple and, in our opinion, mandatory shopping experience in the local community. Serving seemingly every generation, Sink R Swim’s curated collection of apparel and accessories draw from brands dedicated to the trifecta: quality, sustainability and functionality.

Stocking everything from comfortable athletic wear and chic swimsuits, to linen button-downs and buttery-soft graphic tees – the boutique is an absolute must for the Long Beach Islander.

Tucked between a coffee shop and interior design studio on the main thoroughfare in Beach Haven lives a lovely little women’s shop named Allie May Boutique.

Begun by a Fashion Institute of Technology graduate and Allentown native, Allie May sells modern looks with a youthful, coastal edge. Find anything from flouncy dresses and flirty swimwear, to slouchy jackets and trendy matching sets at this chic new addition to the Queen City!

Farias

Farias Surf and Sport is something of an institution when it comes to Long Beach Island. Frequented by surfers, fashionistas, tourists, year-rounders and everyone in between, the family-owned business has it all (and more): surf boards, swimwear, beach essentials, bikes, kids’ gear, apparel, footwear… you get the gist.

A member of the Farias family of stores, Five 0 Six Surf Boutique is Surf City’s not-so-hidden gem. So named for its position on the boulevard (506 Long Beach Boulevard), the adorable boutique brims with coastal-inspired apparel and accessories for women of all ages.

Each winter, Taylor Thorn traverses the globe to source materials and inspiration for her Barnegat Light boutique Yaatree Bazaar.

A stone’s throw from the lighthouse, Thorn’s shop is replete with her colorful hand-made collaborations: beachy dresses, oversized loungewear, bohemian sweaters. We’re confident when we say that her bold pieces are nothing like you’ve ever seen (or worn) before.

Situated on the Boulevard in Surf City, Little Bungalow is a sweet (and, yes, little) haven of fine goods and apparel. A swift glance around the shop reveals an intentional selection of casual-yet-luxurious women’s wear, natural beauty products, vintage gifts and more.

What do books, self-care products, gifts, home goods and beach accessories have in common? All can be found at the Dune Market in Beach Haven.

This cozy shop is home to ethically-sourced treasures that promote simple, coastal living.

When shopping in the bustling town of Beach Haven, Island Gypsy is tough to miss. Sat across from Bay Village and Schooner’s Wharf in an elegant building with impossibly large double doors that punctuate the shop’s entrance is Island Gypsy – a young vacationer’s retail heaven.

New in store this season are oversized tops, feminine mini-dresses and slouchy matching sets.

If you’re looking for the “perfect wardrobe,” you’ll surely find it at Coco Kimono in Surf City. The boutique is home to elevated, feminine looks. A splendid mix of closet staples and unique statement pieces befitting any LBI occasion.
