Are you or one of your besties getting married this year? If so, then it might be time to start planning the second most important event of the whole affair – the bachelorette weekend! You could hop on the bachelorette bandwagon and go somewhere like Nashville or New Orleans with your cowboy boots and tassels. Or, you could pack your bikinis and your best outfits and get the perfect combination of wild and tamed here on LBI! If you’re an LBI lover like us, we have the perfect itinerary for you and your girls to send the bride to the altar the right way!
Thursday Night - Kick Off!
Since you’ll be arriving and getting settled on this day, you’ll probably want to just head up to the beach and feel the sand on your toes. So we found the perfect girls night in (the sand)!
- Call up our friends at Picnic Perfect and have them set up a beautiful table scape at the beach. Then have LBI’s most charismatic sommelier, Frank, from Wines by the Waves conduct a lovely private wine tasting oceanside! This will give you the perfect quiet evening to catch up with all of your girls who you haven’t seen in a while! The calm before the storm!
Friday - Relax, then max out the fun!
- This one is for my fitness girlies! Start your morning off with a delicious coffee from How You Brewin? and head to the beach for some relaxing yoga by the waves, brought to you by Yoga Bohemia (all you need is a beach towel). When you’re finished up there, pop into Scojo’s for an amazing breakfast. Pro tip: Try their freshly squeezed orange juice – it’s to die for!
- Grab your chairs and beach badges and head up to the beach for some sun! Since you left the men at home, you may want to call our friends at LBI Luggers to do the heavy lifting!
- Let the party set sail with Queen City Cycle Boat – You can do mixer tours, or private. It’s the perfect BYOB booze cruise where you can plug in your own music, bring your own food and drinks, and dance your way through the Barnegat Bay!
- The party doesn’t end there. Head back to the house, take a nice outdoor shower and gab with the girls while you get all dolled up for a delicious Italian dinner at Isola, followed by drinks on the Rooftop Deck at Tucker’s Tavern!
Saturday - Keep the party going!
- Friday was a lot of fun and you’re probably tired, so take the morning slow and head to brunch in the late morning at Station 117 – try to get a seat in the garden!
- Spend the beach day at the Shell Resort & Beach Club followed by happy hour with live music at The Sandbar at Engleside Inn.
- I’m sure that outdoor shower left you wanting more, so head back to the house for another one and put on your best outfit for a stunning sunset dinner at Parker’s Garage, followed by live music and dancing at Bird & Betty’s!
Sunday - Shopping spree and a fond farewell!
- Now that we’ve hit the South End pretty hard, let’s explore the North End of the island a bit more! Grab a quick breakfast at LBI’s famous The Chicken or the Egg (AKA Chegg) and shop your way to the Barnegat Lighthouse (ladies, we love a lighthouse, am I right?) Here is your perfect shopping itinerary (in order) on the way to the lighthouse:
- Allie May Boutique
- Island Gypsy
- Sink r Swim
- Wish LBI
- Five 0 Six Surf Boutique
- Coco Kimomo
- Yaatree Bazaar Barnegat Light
- Check out our complete LBI Shopping Guide for more!
- For lunch, grab some of the island’s best seafood at the no-frills Viking Fresh Off the Hook – I highly recommend the scallop tacos!
Here comes the sad part… it’s time to head home and get back to reality. But, the party doesn’t have to come to a screeching halt. Say a fond farewell to your favorite island by hitting The Boatyard on your way out!
Tips for hitting all of the musts!
- RESERVATIONS ARE KEY!!! Be sure to make dining and activity reservations as early as possible to ensure you get the date and time that you want. This is crucial!
- Keep in mind that many restaurants on LBI are BYOB, so plan accordingly!
- We recommend staying in Beach Haven for the most central access to many of these attractions.
- For up-to-date island happenings including live events and music subscribe to LBI Lowdown by visiting https://www.lbilowdown.com/
- Last but not least: Girl… reapply your sunscreen so you don’t ruin your weekend (or your insta pics)!
